Mystie is a homeschooling mom of 5 children who has taken 4 years to perfect this dinner system for her family. This cookbook is intended to provide the home cook with plenty of options for simple but delicious home-cooked meals that require little preparation time and can be made out of a simply, frugally stocked pantry.
Rather than sharing recipes for various meal ideas, Mystie includes what she calls “processes”. For example, the first process is for Slow-Cooker Roasts.
A simple 4-step process is listed. Then, underneath the process has 8
variations to prepare your slow-cooker roast, for different tastes/meals. Unlike the average cookbook that lists out a lengthy amount of steps for each suggested dish, Simplified Dinners has
grouped similar meals together. Each group begins with 3-6 simple
steps to prepping and cooking all of the dishes included in that
section. For the most part, once the main steps are accomplished, you
only need to complete a few more instructions to create each individual
menu.
There is a SAMPLE of the Plan that you can download HERE to see exactly what I mean, it shows how easy this is, and how simple it can be to get a great dinner on the table every night.
There are no packets, boxes, or pre-prepared foods on the master pantry list, but from it you can make a wide variety of dinners, breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. It truly is a sufficient list. And it’s basic. You don’t need to shop at fancy grocery boutiques to eat good, natural, normal food. You can make it with the stuff any standard discount grocery store sells. This is real-food cooking for normal people on a budget.
I love how everything is organized, no preparation or complicated measured ingredients. Just buy what's on sale, have the basic pantry items, and then you can choose whatever meal you want from this plan! It's an awesome idea!
Here’s a list of meals that are included:
- Slow-Cooker Roasts

Good Luck!

I could seriously use simplified dinners. Dinnertime is the most stressful time of my day. With one picky eater that never eats what the family eats and never a planned meal. I cook the same 5 meals over and over it seems. I need help...dinnertime needs to be simplified in my house.
