We had a fun time at the Pumpkin Patch this past weekend...
...and brought home all sorts of different pumpkins and guords!
Cutting open pumpkins and gutting out all the insides is like trying to cook turkey at Thanksgiving. I find someone else to cook me a turkey so I don't have to stick my hand in the raw bird, so basically my view in gutting out slimey pumpkins is the same! heehee! We found some creative ways to decorate our pumpkins and gourds without cutting and gutting!
Glow in the dark stickers, plastic face sets, Sharpies, and Acrylic paints!
I love these face sets, it's like the potato head toys, just poke them into the pumpkin!
We made this gourd into a goose!
Butterfly accomplished her scary pumpkin!
Our finished pumpkins are now decorating our porch!
The white pumpkin makes a great ghost!
There are lots of ways to decorate these harvested foods without having to cut them open. Plus, they will last longer as they do not rot quickly like hollowed ones!
