Easter Crafts

We've been busy with some fun Easter Crafts!
Butterfly made an Easter lily, a baby chick, and a bunny candy holder!

We put together our supplies for the Easter lily flower.
I drew some lily leaves on green paper for Butterfly to cut out.

I formed the white piece of paper into a cone and Butterfly taped it into place.

We then cut out the petals.

Butterfly took a yellow highlighter and coloured the inside of the lily yellow, and we took a yellow pipe cleaner and folded it in half, curled the ends and placed it in the middle of the lily.

I fed the folded yellow pipe cleaner through the hole at the bottom of the cone and put the green pipe cleaner through the yellow one to add on the stem.  We folded down the top of the green pipe cleaner and twisted it to secure it on.

After Butterfly cut out the leaves, she poked the leaves onto the stem.

Then we curled the lily's petals by rolling them down on a pencil.

Butterfly is really happy with her finished Easter lily, she loves flowers!

Our next craft is a hatching baby chick!  We cut out two cups from an egg carton.

And taped them together on one side.

We glued in fluffy yellow pom poms to make the chick.

And we added some feathers.

I hot glued it all down so it can all stay secure.

Butterfly cut out an orange beak and picked out tiny googly eyes, which I hot glued on as well.

Butterfly then decorated the egg with markers to make it an Easter egg!

Next, we made a Bunny Candy Holder.  We recycled a coffee creamer bottle.

We added on foam ears, and Butterfly picked out googly eyes, a fuzzy nose and drew on whiskers.  She also picked a ribbon and buttons for the bunny's decoration.

Butterfly then filled the bottle with chocolate and candy eggs!

This would make a really cute homemade Easter gift to give to someone special.
