Tooth Art!

Here's an art activity for Letter T week!
Teeth and Toothbrush are great T words!

Here are the materials needed.

That tooth is yellow!  Have the child brush it white and clean again, with a toothbrush dipped in white paint!

Even looks like toothpaste! (another T word!)
I was thinking you could mix some mint in the paint and it would even smell like toothpaste!!

Another tooth activity.  A black unhealthy tooth (construction paper), using chalk, have the child colour it white and healthy again! :)

Here are some books we are reading on teeth and the importance of keeping them clean and healthy!

Super S!

Letter S and Number 19 week is completed!  Here's what we did!

LeapFrog Fridge Magnets and flash cards to review our new letter and number.

Placing the next letter and number on our Review Charts to see it's place in numeric/alphabetic order.

Tracing the Sandpaper Tactile Letters to feel upper and lower case S.

Writing S in the paint bag.

Writing S in the salt box

Alphie the Robot teaching us Letter S and Number 19.
Driving on the Road S.

A scissor skill cutting practice page from our Caroson Dellosa Workbook

The next pages in our Alphabet Craft Book, S for Seahorse and s for squirrel.

Decorating upper and lower case S's with stickers that start with S- snowman, smiles, snakes, snails, stars.

Colouring Page

Bingo Dabbing in the circles to make an S.

Homemade magnetic pom poms on baking sheet.

Our Snow Sensory bin!

Filled with Styrofoam S's!

The Styrofoam Snow are shaped as S's!

I put jars with lids in the bin to practice more lid work with the filling and spilling.

Using our newly-made letters, Butterfly and her friend matched letters to spell snowman in lower case letters.

S is for Snowman puzzle.

Putting the snowman in size order.

Laminated S sheet, with wipe-off markers, practicing more S writing movement.

Snowman Writing Practice booklet- laminated with wipe-off markers.

Clipboard work, practicing S and number 19.

Our toddler friend colouring an S ssssssnake picture!

Snowman Grid Game printed from Prekinders.
Roll the die, count the dots, put the same number of markers on snowmen- teaching left to right/ top to bottom/ row by row, continue rolling-counting-marking snowmen until the whole board is full!

Colouring and decorating a snowman ornament.

Colouring a Number 1 and Number 9, cutting them out, gluing them together on a new page to make a nineteen!

Snowman Graphing laminated booklet with Wipe-off Jumbo Crayons

And number practice booklet.

Shape Review laminated cards.  I held up a shape, Butterfly called the shape then ran to put it anywhere on the floor.  She did this with all of them with me, making a line of shapes on the floor which then she and her friend played hopscotch on!  To get them cleaned up and put away, I called a shape, Butterfly had to retrieve it and hand the right one to me, running back and forth!  Active games are always loved! :)

Matching snowman, eventually getting to the level of building the pyramid on the desk, using the sheet as a guide.  During preschool year this year, I let Butterfly just match the snowman on top of the same one.

Charlotte Mason approach- Recording our week in her journal, using nature words that start with our Letter S.

Fun craft and 3D building!  Styrofoam balls and toothpicks!

Make a snowman!

Add details!

And Butterfly wanted to make a Mickey Mouse :)

I let Butterfly go nuts with the materials on her own, creating whatever she wanted, this is the creation she came up with, it's so funky I had to post three photos of them!  She used sticky felt and sticky foam on it too.

Then it was Scavenger Hunt time!

Salsa Sauce, Swing, Sheep, Scissors, Sunglasses, Straw, Spenda Sugar, Salt, Soup, Styrofoam, Syrup, Spoon.
She did great at this letter, sounding out the Sssssss sound when finding things!

~All the Letter S snowman printables are from Confessions of a Homeschooler.~
