White Muffin Tin and The Nutcracker!

It's Muffin Tin Monday!

Butterfly loved our first snowfall so much and our new white Christmas tree that she wanted an all white muffin tin lunch!

Pear slices, tea biscuit with butter, milk, bananas, chicken, and cheese.

We had a special evening last month, family tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet!!  This is Butterfly's favourite ballet, she knows the story off by heart!  She always dresses up like Clara in the story and acts her out :)

So I decided to get some Nutcracker activities together to do on the days before the show.

We bought a plain wooden nutcracker from the Michael's craft store and Butterfly enjoyed painting that.  We also read all The Nutcracker story books that we had.

We printed out some great Nutcracker activities and colouring pages from online,

and YouTubed Nutcracker Ballet to watch some ballet scenes of the story.

Here's Butterfly all dressed up for the show for photos by the white Christmas tree.  She is holding a brand new Nutcracker that her Mommy and Daddy gifted her for her special night! :)

We had Fabulous seats!!  SECOND Row from the Stage!!!

Butterfly even got to see the Orchestra, we were that close!

Butterfly liked looking back at all the balconies in the theatre.

It was such a beautiful show!  Butterfly wants to be a ballerina even more after watching the show!!  What a special Christmas event for our family!  I kept the original tickets and program book for her Calendar and Memory Box :)

  1. I was able to take my oldest daughter to The Nutcracker a few years ago and it was an amazing experience. I love how you incorporated activities ahead of time. I'm sure the memories of that special night will last forever!

  4. The lunch looks great!

Love that you got to take her to The Nutcracker. My boys wouldn't make it through something like that.

  5. Wow, what a lucky girl! My Muffin wants to be a ballerina too, and loves The Nutcracker story and music - but she's never actually seen the ballet. We're doing a Nutcracker theme for our Christmas party this year.
