Muffin Tin Valentine Monday

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

And Happy Muffin Tin Monday!

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

Today's theme is of course is Valentine's Day/ Red foods.

I made two muffin tins for Butterfly and her friend.

The preschool muffin tin has Valentine picks and Valentine paper cups (turned inside out for the pretty patterns!)

Our red foods are divided with veggies on the right side and fruits on the left side of the tins.
Radishes, red peppers, cherry tomatoes, red grapes, raspberries and strawberries, red apples.
Also with a toast with pink cream cheese spread, pink milk in a pink cup with a red heart straw, and a heart cookie for dessert!

Second meal, is toddler friendly :)

The girls loved their meals!

It's Letter N week for us this week!  Our Letter N activities are based on "nests!"

So we started the week by making edible nests!

Chow Mein snack noodles, mini eggs, some oil with the chocolate.

Melt the chocolate with a bit of oil, stirring it.

Then throw in some noodles and get them all covered in chocolate.

Then form nests on some wax paper on a pan, and add the eggs in the nest!

Pop them in the fridge to harden.

The final result:

Yummy!

As we were waiting for the nests to harden, we got creative... yes, I had another idea! lol

Why not make a nest in a glass! :))

Layer it with chocolate chips, chow mein snack noodles, then the eggs in the nest!

And eat it as a snack while cuddled up on the couch watching your fav TV show!!

Happy LOVE Day!!

  3. Yummy!

The local yogurt here is on the watery/runny side. So I put it in a cheese cloth and drained the water out. Ended up with a cheese-type yogurt. Then beat it, so it whipped up and became fluffy. Tasted great.
