Muffin Tin Monday Dinner

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is:  Food Picks, Skewers, and Kebabs!

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

We had a Family Field Trip day on our last day of holidays today, we were at the Museum during lunchtime, so Butterfly's muffin tin is for dinner this week instead!

I used some of our homemade food picks (toothpicks and foam star stickers).

Butterfly had yogurt, mandarin organges, glass of milk, cucumbers, turnip, and hardboiled egg slices.

We are doing The Letter of Week Preschool Curriculum so I have printed out the review sheets on card paper and laminated them, and have them by her meal on the kitchen table always.  Butterfly likes to look at them while she eats and reviews what she knows.  (Fun visual at the table to be stimulated by-- while secretly still learning and still practicing the letters! hehe!)

  2. This is the second muffin tin blog I visited today that made me want to swat myself for not thinking that I could make my own picks like I used to do when I made Groundhogs Day cupcakes for my older children. Duh.
Anyhow, your homemade picks are great! Looks like a great meal. Hmmmm, something I have never had, turnips.
    Love the review idea.

  5. Love the home-made picks! My kid refuses to have anything to do with letters or numbers if I'm involved. The little stinker rolls her eyes at me and just answers 'yes' or 'B' to any question I ask. I've resigned myself to letting Elmo and Tad teach her everything... but she might teach HERSELF a little if I did something like that... or at least start recognizing which lowercase goes with the uppercase letters...
