Muffin Tin Monday & Weekend Projects

For our Muffin Tin Monday, we had veggie crackers, cheese cubes, milk (those sippys fit perfectly in a muffin hole!), grapes, tomatoes, and cucumbers!

Check out more Muffin Tin Monday meals here!

We tried a little science experiment over the weekend- Oil and Water in a bag!

We talked about how it separates, and even the bubbles show they don't mix together!

Funny how the yellow vegetable oil and the blue-dyed water made the liquid look green in the bubbles- even though they are not mixed together.

Butterfly had fun squishing that around and making bubbles and then we watched the two liquids separate when left alone.

Another weekend project!  We reorganized our toy shelf in the living room!  Gosh I love Ikea, a store that allows me to take my organization to the next level!  I even labeled bins!

We have also started another project, we think it's faaaaab-u-lous!  Butterfly is having so much fun with it.  Stay tuned...

  2. I think I am going to have to give in and put a toy shelf in the living room. They all end up in here anyway! Thanks for the inspiration and happy MTM! :o)

  3. Hi. Don't know if you're interested, but there's an experiment thats a step on from your oil and water in a bag one. I've not done it myself, but I've always wanted to try!!! You put the oil and water in a see-through vase, then you drop different balls in! If you put a big glass marble in, it sinks right to the bottom, if you put a table-tennis ball in it floats right on the top. And if you put a rubber super-bouncy ball type one in it should sink through the oil, but not through the water, so it ends up kind of hovering in the middle. Cool or what?!?!
